Q. How long will it take to build our website?
- It depends upon the complexity of the site, how prepared you are to provide
data when requested, and how quickly you respond when asked for feedback. Smaller,
less complicated sites can be completed in two weeks or less. Sites with databases
and/or ecommerce platforms take considerably longer, usually in the range of six
weeks. Make sure to discuss your particular needs and any deadlines you may have
during our first meeting.
Q. How much will it cost to build our website?
- A small website might cost under a thousand dollars, while a large,
complicated website might cost over twenty thousand dollars. Most fall in the three thousand
to five thousand range. We don't offer
"packages" because we believe clients are better served having a website
custom built to their exact needs. Our rates are reasonable for the amount
of time we're planning on putting into your site, and commensurate with our
15+ years experience in building websites, and 20+ years of online experience.
Q. We know that having quality photos is important, but we don't have
quality photos. Can you help?
- Yes, we can. We have access to over 5 million royalty-free, low-cost photos.
If you need photos locally, we can bring our high-quality digital equipment onsite.
Q. Putting together our first website is a little overwhelming. Help?
- Sure! How about we start with a free, no-obligation meeting? If you come to
our office, we can sit and talk about your needs. Since we've been doing this for
many years, we can help by offering suggestions, make references to other clients
who were in your same situation, and generally provide some good advice. We can
walk you through the process step-by-step, and we speak in plain English, no
techno-babble.
Q. We have a website and submitted it months ago to Google. Why aren't
we showing up when we search for it?
- Well, there could be a number of reasons, but the most common is that your
site has not been properly optimized for good rankings. Without skilled optimization,
your site probably will never show within the Top 10, 20 or even first 100
listings in Google. Competition for those rankings is tough, and without professional
help, the best you can hope for is to show up when someone searches for your company's
name. But then again, if they know your name, then that really hasn't found you a new
customer, has it?
- If you seriously want to draw more traffic to your website, and get good rankings
in Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines, you should visit our
search engine help page, where we explain
in a little more depth how we've been able to obtain top rankings for our clients.
